iBall has released the Slide 6309i, laying yet another 7-inch tablet on the table at a budget-friendly price. Going up on sale at Rs. 5,199, the slate shows off attributes to compete with the likes of the Micromax Funbook P360 and the Videocon VT-75C.
It takes advantage of Android Jelly Bean’s earlier version and shows off its visuals at a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution within the confines of a 7-inch full capacitive multi touch display. The onboard processor is based on the ARM Cortex A9 architecture and it takes up a momentum of 1GHz.
It is true that tablets aren’t usually judged based on their integrated shutters, but the device presents its users with dual cameras nevertheless. A 2MP snapper takes its position on the rear panel and even though the company asserts the existence of a front-facing webcam, its quality has yet to be specified.
The manufacturer has reserved up to 4GB to allow hoarding of content internally, over and above which it adorns the slate with a microSD card slot. Using this port, owners could hope to expand the overall storage capacity up to 32GB.
In the event even this proves to be insufficient, users can insert a flash drive in the USB OTG port so as to take pleasure in on-the-go entertainment. With respect to system memory, 1GB of DDR3 RAM has been included.
Although the tablet is said to come packing a 3,000mAh Li-ion battery, the actual operation time derivable has been kept in the dark. Also, it is compatible with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, whereas it can only support 3G through an external dongle.
For people who have been enticed by the features that the iBall Slide 6309i has to offer, but its retail value still isn’t convincing enough, Infibeam will be stocking the tablet at Rs. 4,990. The e-retailer states that there are no units in its possession currently. The device has also struck eBay at differing rates ranging from Rs. 4,821 to Rs. 5,415.
