The iBall Andi4a Projector phone has been introduced with a retail value of Rs 19,000 and it has already gone up for sale through an online retailer for a discounted price. According to iBall, it is one of the first few smartphones which are capable of pulling off 35 lumens projection.
Based on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS, the Andi4a is adorned by a 4-inch capacitive IPS touchscreen that can deliver images in 480 x 800p resolution. The compact device is drenched in the shade of special metallic grey and plays host to a couple of cameras. An 8MP auto focus snapper with LED flash lays claim over the rear panel, while a webcam has been fitted on the front to make video calls.
The responsibility of supporting more than a single application at the same time has been assigned to a dual core Cortex A9 processor which can clock in a maximum speed of 1GHz. It is loaded with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard memory that is expandable by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
Like most iBall phones, the Andi4a sports dual SIM card slots to help users keep their personal and professional lives separate. It boasts of the usual sensors as well as common features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G amongst others. Additionally, the gadget draws power from a 1500mAh battery.
The iBall Andi4a Projector handset carries a price tag of Rs 18,999, but it is available through Flipkart for Rs 17,990. A tripod stand is bundled along with the device that is backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
