Hyundai branches out into the UK mobile market

Hyundai logo Hyundai, Korean car dealers, is moving into the UK mobile market with the release of Hyundai Blighty. Hyundai Mobile already has a foothold in a few European and Asian countries. But now, Hyundai are making aggressive plans to dominate around 3 to 5 percent of the competitive UK market over the next five years.

The Blighty model, the first handset is based on Windows Mobile phone. By the end of the year, Hyundai aims to bring out 10 to 15 other devices covering four different categories such as Basic, Lifestyle, Music and Innovation.

Norbert Winkler, CEO of Hyundai Mobile Europe has stated that: “Hyundai is one of the five biggest car manufactures and is ranked 72nd in the world’s most valuable brands, which is bound to provide a positive image transfer to Hyundai mobiles”

Just like their car deals, Hyundai hopes to entice customers through their price savvy products, very appealing in the current economic downturn. Hyundai mobile will take part in the Mobile World Congress event in February, and any further information will take some time to be released.
