HTC ThunderBolt will arrive via Verizon Wireless starting March 17

HTC ThunderBolt Mobile buffs are certainly in for a treat as manufacturers have been crafting new and unique gizmos to ward off undesired competition. Well, Verizon Wireless has partnered with HTC to unleash the Android 2.2-powered HTC ThunderBolt smartphone.

This handset claims to be the first to benefit from Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network. Flaunting the newest version of the HTC Sense interface, the unit promises to engage users with various Google Mobile services like Gmail, YouTube and the Android Market. The device will incorporate 4G LTE optimized applications like EA’s Rock Band, Gameloft’s Let’s Golf, Tunewiki and Bitbop.

Adorned by a 4.3-inch WVGA display screen, the offering houses an 8MP rear-facing camera with 720p HD video recording features and 1.3MP front-facing camera for flawless video chats. Driven by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, the device flaunts its Mobile Hotspot capabilities, 8GB internal memory and pre-installed 32GB microSD card. Fitted with a handy kickstand, the handset can be carried along with utmost ease.

The HTC ThunderBolt will be up for grabs beginning March 17 via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and the official website for $249.99 with a fresh two-year contract. Users will also have to purchase a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and 4G LTE data plan which start at $39.99 and $29.99 monthly, respectively.
