Word around town is that HTC has been working towards crafting the R7 and the R12 which apparently are its 7-inch and 12-inch offerings, respectively. Now this bit of news had been speculated earlier as well, but the information that has recently floated ashore is that these slates may be home to the recently confirmed Windows Blue RT.
Reports speaking of the tablets have revealed very little concerning the 12-inch device, whereas a handful of details have been spilled out with respect to the gadget flaunting a 7-inch screen. From what we’ve heard, the latter’s display should be capable of reproducing visuals at a resolution of 1980 x 1080 pixels.
Apparently, within the confines of the slab rests a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which should house four cores and pick up a clock speed of 2.3GHz. The manufacturer has supposedly been very generous by plunking a 13MP camera on the tablet’s flipside.
If these rumors hold any leverage, this could give the device an upper hand over most slates in the market, judging by the history of snappers that tablets generally are meant to carry. Moving on, there should be an internal memory of 16GB as well as 2GB of RAM.
Even though it has been mentioned that expandability will be made possible via a microSD card, there is no word pertaining to the maximum limit.
