A certain HTC Proto that claims to be the refreshed version of the One V has been spotted on the web. Reportedly, this is not the first time that the handset has shown up on the internet as there were rumors floating around its upcoming arrival.
The forthcoming IFA seems ripe to welcome new HTC devices, considering that the Taiwanese manufacturer is yet to follow-up the well known One series. Going by the supposed revelations, this new member is likely to carry heavier specs than its rumored sibling. But, the specifications that have surfaced are surprisingly similar such as a 5MP snapper and a 1GHz chipset to name a few.
However, there is a marked difference between the One V and the leaked smartphone in terms of the exterior. While the former is known for its curved chin form factor that was popularized by the HTC Legend, the latter is expected to sport a more uniform and consistent chassis. This brings it in the same league as the One X or the One S. The Verge stumbled upon some of its pictures, though the handset’s official moniker is still under wraps.
The IFA event that is slated to go live in Berlin next week is likely to witness the biggie Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Though, it’s not certain if the HTC Proto will indeed be announced on this occasion, it will sure be interesting to see how the tidings turn out.
