HTC One Google Edition may run Android 4.3 starting this month

Those in the US who have rushed to pocket the HTC One Google Edition might just be amongst the few early birds to soak in what Android 4.3 has to offer. The HTC smartphone which had journeyed from rumor to reality after being authenticated by the search engine leader last month, has been caught on Bluetooth SIG.

It so happens that an application had been filed on June 18 for the PN071xx_Android 4.3_G certification, which eventually led to the device receiving a certified status on July 5. In this scenario, the initial code stands for the smartphone’s original model number, while it is a no-brainer that the OS’ next version is what follows in the arrangement. The ‘G’ in the setup should most likely indicate the device’s Nexus-like variant.

A post on Android Authority, which claims to have come across this bit of news on Techtastic, has analyzed the reason for the company requesting a new certification for an already released smartphone. Apparently, Android 4.3 will come with support for Bluetooth 4.0 LE and this has resulted in the Taiwanese manufacturer taking such as step. The Low Energy profile will permit syncing handsets with multiple accessories, even those employed for monitoring fitness and health.

The Android Authority folks have also stated that we could anticipate the One Google Edition with a hint of Android 4.3 to be launched towards the end of this month. Since there is still no official word from the guys over at Mountain View, pertaining to the upcoming mobile platform, we will be handling this news with skepticism for now.
