The HTC One has a successor and according to various reports doing the rounds on the web, it is codenamed M8. Its pictures had surfaced a while ago and now we have come across some of its specifications that give us a hint of what we can expect from the upcoming device from the Taiwanese manufacturer’s stables.
The reason why the leaked information looks like the real deal is that it has been disclosed by none other than our very trusted source of news, @evleaks. If you are not too keen on the HTC One Max and wish to have a One lookalike that’s slightly bigger than the latter, then the M8 is meant for you. The handset falls in the phablet category as it flaunts a 5-inch display and is also capable of rendering clear full HD visuals at 1080p resolution.
Moreover, the aforementioned Twitter account says that the device will rock the Android KitKat 4.4 OS and it will obviously be accompanied by the latest version of HTC Sense. As for the internal working of the device, it is slated to be taken care of by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Nothing has been mentioned about its cameras or memory, but it is likely to sport an UltraPixel snapper and a webcam and should bring nothing less than 2GB of RAM. Hopefully its internal storage will be expandable.
Whether the company will release a dual SIM variant of the HTC M8 or not isn’t clear as yet. We will let you know about its price and availability details as soon as they are out.
