HTC Hero has finally attained an approval from FCC, according to Mobilewhack. It is speculated that Sprint will soon market this latest Android device. So far the device is believed to extend support to CDMA/EV-DO with other features.

It comprises of a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 320×480 HVGA resolution. Operating on HSPA/WCDMA 900/2100 MHz, the handset will provide Up to 2 Mbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds. The handset also supports Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. Including the battery, it weighs 135 grams and is 112 x 56.2 x 14.35 mm in size.

Moreover, it features a 5.0 megapixel color camera with auto focus and a rechargeable lithium battery. With a capacity of 1350 mAh the battery provides a talk time of up to 420 minutes for WCDMA, up to 470 minutes for GSM. Standby time of up to 750 hours for WCDMA and up to 440 hours for GSM is also provided by the device.

Users can store heavy content in the microSD memory card provided by the handset. Connectivity to Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for wireless stereo headsets, IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, HTC ExtUSB and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
