HTC Explorer now incorporated with support for Hindi and Tamil languages

HTC Explorer

Launched in India just recently, the HTC Explorer is now all set to come integrated with support for Hindi and Tamil languages. With an aim of appealing to local preferences, the smartphone will allow users to view and input text in these two Indian languages.

According to the company, the Explorer is the first Android device to facilitate operations in these languages. Another Indian touch that HTC has given to its handset is the suite of pre-installed country specific apps such as Bollywood Hungama, NDTV Cricket, NDTV news, Saavn, eBuddy XMS, HTC Flashlight, Asphalt Adrenalin, Cricket Pro and Uno.

“Language is the basic medium in which people communicate and people communicate most effectively and smoothly in a language which they grew up and are familiar with. That’s why HTC has made Indian language support a key priority as part of our commitment to India. India is one of the fastest growing global smartphone markets with a rich culture and language diversity, which makes it imperative for clear and effortless communications. By being the first to offer Indian language input and display capabilities, HTC is making it easy for Indian consumers to communicate and understand each other, which is testament to our continued focus on delivering the best possible smartphone user experience for our customers,” explained, Lennard Hoornik, president of South Asia, HTC Corporation.
