HTC EVO Shift 4G up on Amazon for pre-order?

The HTC EVO Shift 4G appears to be the most popular rumor of December, with almost each passing day bringing in fresh updates. After discovering some Zagg protection films a couple of days back, Engadget now posts about the Sprint EVO Shift 4G going live on pre-order at Amazon’s wireless outlet. What’s more, it is even said to display a comprehensive specification sheet of the handset.

The most exciting aspect of this device that has been noted is the 8 megapixel camera with HD video capturing capabilities. It flaunts dual cameras with the front facing one being a 1.3 megapixel image sensor. However, the folks over at the site explain that the page displays a note stating that the device had been released in ‘June, 2010’. This shows that probably the detail sheet did not belong to the EVO Shift 4G.

The device is apparently offered for $200 along with a two-year contract which is almost $50 more than the pricing details previously sighted. In fact, the image has been said to be uploaded by a user. Although the title boldly spelled out ‘HTC EVO Shift 4G’, we do not if the news was actually about the phone. When we hit on the Amazon link, a 404 error sprouted up ending our escapades then and there.

With the Amazon page pulled out there is no way to confirm the above details. Here’s hoping that by the weekend something official actually comes up.
