Leaked press shots of the HTC Desire C have surfaced over the web via Vodafone Portugal. Though it may not be official yet, one thing’s clear – the phone will hit availability status via the carrier soon enough.
Apparently, the handset’s front panel is dominated by a 3.5-inch display with 320 x 480p resolutions. Operating under the hood is a 600MHz processor that takes care of all the functions offered to users. It is touted to carry 4GB internal memory for storing files and other kinds of content. For photography purposes, a 5MP rear-facing camera has been thrown into the mix. However, the torchbearer is the Android 4.0 OS that makes it an entry-level ICS smartphone.
As mentioned on GSMArena, one of their tipsters has disclosed its battery and probable price tag as well. It will operate on a 1230mAh battery and should be priced below €200. In any case, the leaked images and ongoing speculations suggest that we may see the Desire handset soon enough. As far as Vodafone Portugal is concerned, it appears to be quite eager to ship the handset and has already incorporated it on the May releases schedule. In terms of the main specifications, there seems to nothing conspicuous enough except for ICS and the modest 5MP camera.
Nevertheless, going by the idea that the HTC Desire C price could be below €200, it should make for a decent deal. Its launch date is not clear at present.
