GreenHeart Concept Phone, a Sony Ericsson vision

Sony Ericsson,GreenheartA recent announcement by Sony Ericsson revealed that the company is in works for a new concept phone that will be environment friendly called GreenHeart. This ‘not designed for production’ concept phone was presented last week by Sony Ericsson.

The makers of the phone are basically not out to sell it in the market but insist on proving that biodegradable phones are quite possible. The phone emphasizes on being environmentally friendly throughout its life. So if you ever plan to throw the phone away, you needn’t worry about polluting the environment. We think it’s a great idea considering the millions of old devices dumped all over the world.

Packed in an environmental friendly bundle, the GreenHeart comprises bio-plastic housings, a zero charger with 3.5mW standby power, recycled plastic keypads, digital manuals that replaces the regular paper ones and much more. The entire idea is wrapped up by Ecomate and its environmentally conscious packaging.

Well, right now Sony Ericsson is knocking on partners and customers to make this concept phone a reality. They have plans to incorporate some innovative features that should take the concept to altogether new levels. Though the phone doesn’t appear to be a blower or something, for a biodegradable phone, we’d say it’s a winner.
