Google Voice Actions makes its way into Europe

Last year saw Google’s Voice Actions come into being to make Android user’s life easier but then the service was only available in US English. Now users in the U.K., France, Italy, Germany and Spain can also use Voice Actions in British English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, announces the Google Mobile Blog.

Android users can text, call, navigate, locate and even conduct Google searches by simply giving voice commands for the same. Apparently, it comes in quite handy when driving, for the driver has to only speak-out to send a message or locate the destination.

A microphone button featuring with the Google search box on handset’s home screen has to be tapped in-order to activate Voice Actions. Alternately, the Voice Search app can be opened to carry out voice commands or the physical search button on the device can be pressed down for a few seconds to activate the ‘Speak Now’ screen.

The app makes web browsing, calling, texting and other common tasks a breeze. So worries about urgently messaging or locating the nearest eatery when driving or doing tasks that have your hands-full, can be put to rest with Voice Actions now coming in British English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages.

Voice Actions is available on phones and tablets running Android 2.2 and higher. It can also be downloaded from Android Market.
