Blackberry owners who frequently use the built-in Messages and Contacts apps should be happy to find out a new version of Google Mobile App for Blackberry. According to the Official Google Mobile Blog, users can now search the email and contacts on their phone using the new version of Google Mobile App.

Making everything easier, Google Mobile App searches through the emails and contacts on users’ device and returns the results. Now quickly replying to an email or forwarding it on is made super-facile to execute. In fact, users can quickly call, message, or email contacts by typing the first few letters of their contact’s first or last name, and then pressing the corresponding button.

Besides, the Google Mobile App suggests users the contacts as they type and lets them scroll down to select one. To make things as easy as falling off a log, it also promotes the frequently contacted people to the top of the suggestions list.

Further, if want to swap between on-device results (email and contacts) and web results (from Google), then just click on the link underneath the search box. And finally, if users don’t want the app to search their email and contacts, they can turn it off in the options screen of Google Mobile App.

Just to notify, searching email requires Blackberry operating system version 4.5 or higher. Searching contacts is available on Blackberry OS 4.2 and higher. The newest version of the app also features the ability to use Blackberry’s Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet.

Users can now download the latest version of Google Mobile App.
