Google Search For Movies

Google brings a new version of the Google Search results for movies, reports the Google Mobile Blog. Users just need to launch google.com from their iPhones, Palm WebOS, or Android-powered devices, search for movies and tap on the ‘More movies’ link to view the movie details. Once the ‘more movies’ link opens up, users can browse through a list of movies or click the ‘Theaters’ button to look through a list of near by theaters.

Google’s new movie listing page now comes with buttons to play movie trailers directly on the phone. Google Search for movies now shows movie ratings, categories, movie posters, forthcoming showtimes, and a brief list of nearest theaters along with their locations. The information on this page is quite laconic so that users can easily glance over shows and showtimes.

In addition, if users wish to explore more details about a specific movie, they can simply tap on the poster or the title of the movie to view synopsis, pictures, precise list of showtimes, cast and crew of a movie, and more. On clicking the theaters button, users can view a detailed map of theaters closest to them. Users can tap on the link of any desired theater to view its current shows and showtimes.

Google makes it simpler to search theaters and movie timings in just a few clicks. The new movie search results for movies are available in English in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
