Broadening the horizon and advancing high in terms of its service, according to the official Google Mobile Blog, Google has recently launched a new feature entitled ‘Near Me Now’ for the iPhone and Android.

As the name suggests, the newly unveiled feature helps in finding Points of Interest, which are near the location of the user. Users can now quickly find out more about a particular place in their immediate vicinity with utmost ease and convenience. By selecting the ‘Explore right here’ option, one can find out more about a place ‘right here’ with just a few clicks.

In addition, searching for popular categories of nearby places is made really simple. No matter what, users can now search for almost everything by using ‘Near Me Now’. To search other categories of places not shown, ‘Browse more categories’ gives access to Google’s local search product with more category choices.

‘Near Me Now’ is currently available in the US for iPhone (OS 3.x) or Android-powered devices with version 2.0.1 or later.
