Gmail app for iOS comes back to Apple App Store

The Gmail app for iOS seems to be back on its feet and Google says the issue that troubled it has been fixed. As reported, the app which was introduced for iOS devices on November 2 comprised a bug that blocked notifications and showed an error message.

According to the official Gmail blog, this prompted the company to scratch off the app from the store. But, the whole saga seems to have ended well with the app being renewed in the App Store yet again, with the glitches eliminated.

Just to remind users of some interesting features of the app, they are entitled to receive notification badges for new messages along with threaded conversations. Mails can be effectively organized by archiving, labeling, starring, deleting and reporting spam.

A priority inbox stays put to keep a check on the important messages. Some other features like auto-complete, attachments and search, add on to the convenience. Also, refreshing the inbox, viewing labels and scrolling through mails ought to be as simple as a swipe.

During the temporary period when the app was out for iOS devices, many users wanted the company to tweak some aspects of the facility. Improved features like multiple account support, better notifications, handling of HTML messages are being worked upon too.
