Perching itself on the shelf among other tablets for business is the Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 that’s described as a hybrid. What allows the device to claim the ‘hybrid’ tag is the fact that it can be converted into a notebook with the optional keyboard dock.
But it’s not just the slate’s flexible nature which makes a noteworthy point. The anti-glare, IPS screen stretched across its front is a largish 11.6-inch one with what appears to a 10-point touch-enabled surface accommodating pen or touch input. In terms of exactly how portable it is, the tablet tips the scales at almost 850g.
“Fujitsu pays close attention to what the market requires and continues to grow its mobile portfolio with form factors designed for how people work,” expressed Lim Teck Sin, Vice President, Product Marketing and Engineering, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific. “With the new Stylistic Q702 business hybrid tablet, Fujitsu is delivering the best of both worlds.”
“The portability and ease-of-use of a tablet, which is perfect for consuming content, and an optional attachable keyboard, converting the device into a notebook with a full keyboard where it’s easier to create content, for example, when working on a spreadsheet or editing a business proposal. These are the types of distinctions, both subtle and obvious, that continue to set Fujitsu apart,” added Sin.
Coming down to the internals, the Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 is embedded with a third generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor and it uses the Windows OS. The connectivity options offered to users span over 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and UMTS. With the attachable keyboard docking station, additional features in the form of LAN and VGA ports as well as a removable battery are also onboard.
The Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 price and release date details haven’t been revealed as yet. All we know is that the device will be out in the Asia-Pacific and other regions starting from Q3 2012.
