Fujitsu FOMA F905i Handset Several new mobile phones were seen at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. However,no different features were seen in particularly. So here’s a new Fujitsu mobile phone called FOMA F905i to satiate your appetite. This mobile phone features an integrated fingerprint sensor security for safeguarding personal information and mobile commerce transactions.

The fingerprint sensor which comes with FOMA F905i is provided by Authen Tec. The fingerprint sensor is located outside the mobile phone on the back panel which allows users to authenticate themselves with a finger swipe. The sensor used by AuthenTec’s TruePrint technology reads below the surface of the skin to the live layer where the “true” fingerprint is located.

The advantage of having a sensor on the handset is to protect personal and corporate information which is there on the on mobile phone. It is also helpful when the handset is lost or stolen as it secures transactions related to mobile commerce and online banking, where users can log in to mobile banking sites without Personal Identification Numbers or passwords.

Fujitsu is offering 14 mobile phone models with Authen Tec fingerprint sensors. The phone comes with international roaming capabilities and supports both 3G and GSM cellular networks.

The Fujitsu FOMA F905i measures 108x50x21 mm and weighs 135 grams. It also has a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and built-in GPS. The best of the phone is if it is stolen the user can wipe out its entire memory. The user can also disable few features like camera and infrared if it is prohibited in a place.

The Fujitsu FOMA F905i is made available in Japan through the NTT DoCoMo. But these mobile phones can also be used across the globe including United States.
