The Fujitsu Arrows Tab Wi-Fi tablet which was recently disclosed is all set to make its debut next week. The highlight of this device is that its IPX5/7 water-resistant and can function optimally even after being dunked in a tub full of room-temperature water for around 30 minutes.

Coated in ivory white, this slate comes incorporated with a fingerprint sensor which helps keep all the stored data secure and away from others. It recognizes the users’ fingerprints as the screen unlock password so that only they have access to private documents, files and folders. Embedded with a 10.1-inch 1280 × 800p TFT LCD WXGA display, this Fujitsu mobile device is powered by a 1GHz OMAP4 dual core CPU.

Users are able to take snapshots and perform video chats through the 5.1MP primary camera located on the backside and the 1.3MP front facing camera, both of which feature CMOS sensors. Offering a standby time of up to 2,900 hours, the tablet is equipped with Dolby Mobile v3 speakers that deliver virtual 5.1 channel surround sound grade performance. Moreover, the offering gives users access to a variety of preloaded entertainment and utility options such as i-Filter for Android, Tsutaya TV, Hikari TV, document viewer, Adobe Reader, BooksV online e-book service and many others.

The Fujitsu Arrows Tab Wi-Fi tablet would be retailing from January 19 onwards in Japan and is set to come in two capacities namely, 16GB and 32GB and respectively dubbed with the model numbers FAR70A and FAR75A. It will be available at authorized electronic retail stores in the country as well as the company’s Web Mart shopping service website.
