Japanese network carrier, KDDI, has declared the upcoming arrival of the Fujitsu Arrows ES IS12F smartphone in the country next year. This smartphone is touted to be among the slimmest ones, measuring only 6.7mm thick and weighing a negligible 105g.

The Arrows ES IS12F operates on the Android 2.3 OS and is integrated with a 4-inch AMOLED WVGA 480 × 800p EL organic touchscreen display constructed from Corning Gorilla glass. Measuring 64mm × 127mm × 6.7mm, it comes splashed in two colors namely, ruby red and gloss black. The Verge adds that this is a waterproof handset which happens to be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon MSM8655 processor.

The freshly announced mobile device runs on a 1,400mAh battery and is capable of lending support to various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR besides offering access to CDMA and GSM radios for global roaming. Providing talk time of up to 400 minutes, it comes equipped with Japanese customizations including Infrared and 1-Seg digital video as well as support for Mobile Wallet touch and pay.

This Fujitsu handset is embedded with a 5MP rear facing camera possessing additions like auto focus and an image stabilizer CMOS which lets users capture videos and photos. It claims to feature rugged wear resistance and has been coated with ‘ultra tough guard’ paint for extra durability. The sleek mobile device is equipped with the company’s proprietary audio technology called ‘super clear voice 3’ for enhanced sound.

The Fujitsu Arrows ES IS12F smartphone is scheduled to be available in Japan from January 2012 and details regarding its price have not yet been revealed.
