First Orion intros upgraded version of PrivacyStar BlackBerry App

PrivacyStar App PrivacyStar, a much appreciated application for BlackBerry, has been upgraded by First Orion. The new version has improvised the application in terms of performance speed, calls lookup accuracy and expands the call blocking functions. PrivacyStar claims to be the first and only mobile application that can provide detailed information about potential telemarketing violations such as date, time, number and identity.

With the call blocking advantage, users can block entire area codes and group of numbers often used by billing agents or telemarketers. Users can block individual numbers, entire code areas or enter a personalized code to block the calls. With the group blocking ability, users can avoid calls from telemarketers who at times even spoof numbers to make calls. The blocked numbers can be viewed by users on a web portal synced with the user’s smartphone.

Jeff Stalnaker, CEO of First Orion commented on the upgraded version by saying that, “We expect that with improved performance and expanded call blocking options, PrivacyStar will continue to resonate positively with BlackBerry users. We’ve had 100,000 users look up almost a million numbers and file over 20,000 complaints with the appropriate authorities, and this update will help our users take further control of their phones.”

PrivacyStar’s upgraded version offers users certain commendable features and benefits. The application is simple to use and allows users to easily block numbers by selecting them from the call log. Moreover, users can report possible telemarketing violations to authorities to probe into the matter. The application also offers the user to add numbers not recognized by caller lookup either to their contacts list or the privacy list. With the web portal, users can easily manage the blocked numbers list and also edit their account information.

The application is available for a fee of $2.99 per month from privacystar.com or the BlackBerry App World. Users can also subscribe for the semi-annual or annual discounted periods after a 7-day trial period.
