Facebook comes with two new security functions for mobile

FacebookTo make itself more secure and for its members to feel safer, Facebook has announced two new security features for the mobile platform. Members accessing the website through their handsets are now enabled to reset their passwords and can access the social reporting feature as well.

Facebook launched the social reporting functionality in March through which members can alert other users and Facebook administration regarding content on the website they find offensive. Users can see to it that the site maintains decency and doesn’t hurt any one’s sentiments via this feature.

For example if users’ picture has been put up by someone on their friend list which they do not like, they can report it. This feature will first be available to the mobile browser version of Facebook and is scheduled to arrive soon for the iOS and Android platforms.

If users forget their login passwords or are not able to access their account due to some reason, Facebook now allows them to choose the email address to send profile recovery links. The social networking site is planning to roll out this feature slowly for determining public response to it and then distribute it on a wider platform if it has been accepted popularly. It is also working on methods to confirm user identity.
