Following close on the heels of the Android update is the upgraded 4.1.6 version of Evernote for iOS. The official Evernote blog has revealed that the note-taking application has changed for the better with new features including improved sharing facilities and text editing functionalities.

Evernote is designed to be apt for those who love to make to-do lists and keep everything organized by jotting down notes. Earlier versions allowed users of the app to share individual notes with others via email, Twitter and Facebook conveniently. However, keeping in mind that users may sometimes wish to make the shared notes private again, the app has been tweaked to allow them to do the same.

For ceasing the sharing of a single note or a bunch of them, users can now click the Share icon situated at the bottom of the note and tap on the Stop Sharing option after which the shared notes will remain inaccessible to others. The blog states that though users have control over the sharing of notes in the refreshed version, they will not be able to stop the sharing process with notes that were shared before this update.

iPad owners and users of this application will now be able to enjoy improved text editing features with version 4.1.6. The changes in the note editor in iOS 5 on iPad enable users to edit anything they want without having to take the trouble of simplifying notes or appendages. Images can be added to notes which appear directly inline. Besides enhancing its preservation of styles, the refreshed app provides for indenting and building of multi-level lists.

Other improvements in the updated app include fixing of certain unresolved bugs and enhancement of the iPhone text editor. v4.1.6 of the Evernote for iOS app is now available for free at the App Store.
