After mc3 three button headsets smelt success, a variant of the same is about to reach audiences. Etymotic has launched the mc2 universal earphones promoting for BlackBerry, Android and Windows Mobile devices.

The company’s Custom-Fit program for personalized earmolds seeks to provide a perfect fit. The accessory is cited to be a combo of sound quality with noise-isolating technology and hearing protection. It’s teaming up with the hf2 headsets will give non-Apple users access to quality sound too.

“The proliferation of new devices is driving demand for best-in-class sound solutions at all price points that work with any device. With the mc2, we are bringing the highest level of sound accuracy, noise isolation, and control to the RIM, Android, and Windows Mobile operating systems to complement our long record of success developing products for Apple devices,” commented Mark Karnes, managing director of consumer products at Etymotic.

The peripheral delivers good sound and features noise isolation of up to 42dB. Apart from this, it includes Accu-Chamber technology along with an 8mm dual magnet moving coil driver. It boasts of an Accu-Location omni-directional microphone with universal multifunction control. It is guarded by a two year warranty.

Etymotic mc2 headsets are slated to reach audiences soon. It is compatible with handsets running BlackBerry, Android or Windows Mobile. The product is tagged at a price of $99 and can be picked up from InMotion, Microsoft stores and online at the company’s official site or Amazon.
