Electric Pocket brings Twitterlerts to Blackberry

Blackberry Twitterlerts ‘Tweeting’ right from the Blackberry smartphones is now made possible, thanks to Twitterlerts from Electric Pocket. With this application, users can tweet their businesses, products, celebrities, current affairs and more via their smartphones.

Now users can monitor the global dialogue by automatically scanning Twitter according to their selection. The app alerts users about important changes and allows them to tweet or share tweets effortlessly. Twitterlerts are designed to enable users to track the global conversation on specific subjects such as business brands, pop culture, their favorite sports team or even their competitors.

“We think Twitter searching has a lot to offer both businesses and individuals, and is an ideal way to use Twitter when mobile. Twitterlerts makes it really simple for our users to track topics that matter to them, and our unique alerting feature means they don’t miss out on timely access to important information,” remarked Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s Chief Product Officer.

The application saves frequent searches that are monitored automatically. Further, incase of high priority searches like a particular company’s product, Twitterlerts warns the user by producing an alert tone, when a new tweet is found. Users can also mail the searched tweets to others.

To access the application users need not own a Twitter account. Twitterlerts also permits users to post new tweets, direct messages and offers retweeting and replying capability.

The application is available on Twitterlerts’ website for an introductory price of $4.99. A trial version is also made available for free.
