LG Lotus Phone

As this holiday season stands on a brink, mobile companies are stepping forth and offering highly captivating handsets as well. According to UnwiredView, the LG Lotus has been upgraded with a digital TV (DTV) chip and will be re-announced in the US, along with a portable DVD player entitled LG DP570MH.

Apparently, the new devices employ the LG2160A ATSC-M/H chip that will also be utilized in products offered by Dell, Kenwood and Hyundai Kia Motors.

Seemingly, the newly upgraded LG Lotus derives great similarity from the original phone and comes equipped with a QVGA internal display, QWERTY keypad, 2MP camera and a microSD card slot. In addition, the handset lends full support to the ATSC-M/H standards and features an external mobile TV antenna.

Reportedly, both the DTV-ready LG Lotus and the LG DP570MH portable DVD player will be exhibited by LG at CES 2010.
