The iPhone will now have a designer’s touch to it with Donna Karan launching an application for the Apple device along with Atimi Software Inc. This innovative application features Karan talking on fashion and her personal interests.
Through this app, the leading fashion designer would be sharing about things she loves, chats with friends and also exhibits her latest vacation photos from Africa. The iPhone has got a few designer applications previously, but the outstanding feature of this app is the personal touch offered by Karan through the conversations, which none other apps offered previously.
“The design method applied to the iPhone application was to truly allow Donna Karan to connect with her clients in as personal a way as possible. Every aspect was held up to the light to ensure it met the design objectives and had the level of polish and quality that is inherent in the Donna Karan brand,” stated Scott Michaels, Atimi Vice President, developers of the iPhone application.

The app would incorporate a unique fashion video by the name of ‘System of Dressing’ in which Karan talks about the various means through which consumers can maximize the flexibility of their clothes. One of the interesting features of the app is that users can create a wish list of products and forward it to a personal shopper. Further, the app also features Donna’s Journal where she shares her views, enthusiasm about her brand and life which is updated weekly.
Love, Love, Love is one such section that is updated regularly and it includes two must-haves, one from the Donna Karan Lifestyle like clothing, a handbag or home item and other would be either her favorite book on nutrition or a must-see exhibit. People Who Inspire is another such section where people who motivate Karan are featured and can be a creative collaborator, an independent artist or a spiritual leader. It also incorporates Ask Donna by means of which clients and fans get an opportunity to ask her about clothes or any other thing. There is also DK Travels that includes pictures and captions from Karan’s recent travels.
