Distimo Monitor

Distimo has announced the public beta launch of the Distimo Monitor, which is a free application store analytics tool. This tool offers mobile developers an insight into the functioning of a developer’s applications as well as competitive multi-application stores.

The mobile application market has apparently become extremely competitive and it is difficult for developers to keep a tab on all stories across various stores. The Distimo Monitor accumulates relevant information regarding the statistics of mobile applications across all application stores. This information is then presented to developers on a comprehensive dashboard inclusive of daily downloads, revenues, etc. It also permits the developers to check on their standing in comparison to the competition.

“We previously worked for a mobile app developer, and Distimo Monitor was born from the challenges we experienced firsthand with distributing apps in mobile app stores. An increasing number of developers are now distributing their apps in multiple app stores, and Distimo Monitor supports them by taking away all of the manual reporting work required with distributing an application in multiple stores,” says CEO and co-founder of Distimo, Vincent Hoogsteder.

The Distimo Monitor has been fitted with quiet a few impressive features. The tool allows developers to monitor daily downloads and revenue figures and also gain valuable information regarding the functioning of competing applications. Developers do not require any code to monitor the unlimited applications present in the mobile application market. Moreover, the tool enables developers to convert all major currencies and also supports multiple stores including the Apple App Store and Google Android Market.

Distimo Monitor has plans of expanding its support to other application stores as well. Application stores such as BlackBerry App World, Nokia Ovi Store, Palm App Catalog, and Windows Marketplace for Mobile are being considered. While mobile operators and independent stores like Verizon VCast and GetJar are also on the list. The Distimo Monitor tool can be used by developers for no charge.
