“With this announcement we are opening up doors for an exciting new genre of mobile application developers focused on Android by making testing accessible and efficient. We aim to fully support this new platform and the community behind it by offering an easier and more cost-effective solution to break through the fragmentation barrier and bring new content and services to the Android platform. Through our unique network of global partnerships, we are also pleased to feature the newly released DROID by Motorola on Verizon Wireless and DROID ERIS by HTC as the latest addition to the new Android package,” stated Faraz Syed, CEO of DeviceAnywhere.

With this package, fragmentation of software, device or version of an operating system is no longer an obstacle. The Android package enables developers to remotely interact with devices, as if they are holding them, such as using touch screen inputs, disconnecting batteries and rotating the device. Additionally, they can easily create and run automated tests, eliminating the need for manual testing and ensuring a superior end-user experience.

Android device package is now available via DeviceAnywhere Test Center. With this package, independent Android developers can now access tools and resources to bring innovative mobile experiences to market at lower cost. Some of the devices that are most likely to be added to the collection include T-Mobile myTouch 3G and HTC Magic on Vodafone.
