Some days back there were reports that Dell will soon launch a handset in China. Currently TechCrunch has revealed that the company is in fact ready to launch a mobile phone in the country very shortly.
While it was believed that either China Mobile or China Unicom would be one of the carrier partners of the company, TechCrunch has updated that China Mobile is the likely carrier. There are speculations that the device will work on the Android Operating System.
Some days ago, it was rumored that the company was working on an Android-powered tablet computer with Google. However, there were reports that the company will develop a proprietary system together with China based software maker called Red Office.
There isn’t much known about the specifications or features of this device. No information about the pricing is also known. The only thing heard of is that the phone will comprise of an iPhone-like touchscreen with no physical keyboard.
