Dell takes covers off Latitude 7000 series Ultrabooks, 5000 and 3000 series laptops

The Dell Latitude 7000 series Ultrabooks and Latitude 5000 and 3000 series laptops have been unveiled and some of them have already been made available around the world. All of the other Dell notebooks will hit store shelves in the course of the next two months. According to the company, this secure and reliable range of Windows devices meant for professionals, has been bestowed with sophisticated designs and durability.

The Dell Latitude 7000 series Ultrabooks have been integrated with the Intel ultra-low voltage processors and the smallest model with a 12-inch screen measures merely 20mm in thickness. It weighs in at 1.3 kilograms. These notebooks have also been deployed with advanced security attributes to keep malware at bay so that the data saved in the device is safe from prying eyes. They get their durability from aluminum and the screens have been reinforced with a film of Corning Gorilla Glass NBT for added protection. Gadgets belonging to this series are backward compatible with existing Latitude E-family docks.

Dell Latitude 7000 Series Ultrabooks

As for the Latitude 5000, it is available in screen configurations of 14.1 and 15.6 inches and acquires steam from Intel Core ultra-low voltage CPUs. A powerful battery, discrete graphics processors and SSD are integrated in the laptop featuring Corning Gorilla Glass NBT, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi amongst others. The 3000 series device come in 14- and 15.6-inch options as well and employs fourth generation Intel chipsets with Turbo mode. Users will find an anti-glare LCD screen as well as an HD webcam and a microphone on the notebook.

The Dell Latitude 7000 series Ultrabooks start at a price of $1,049 and are already available across the globe. The touchscreen variants as well as Latitude 3000 series (starting at $599) will debut on September 12, while the Latitude 5000 series will be up for grabs only in October.
