Like the iOS, other mobile phone platforms have been sketching out a landscape for casual gamers. Offering a new playground to Android and JavaME-enabled mobile devices, HandyGames has released a new sci-fi role playing game dubbed Cyberlords – Arcology. Set in the year 2173, the game portrays the decline of government agencies as colossal mega corporations take over the world.

Featuring an engrossing narrative, the game is a squad-based tactical real-time combat with over 50 pieces of equipment. These include medpacks, armor, weapons and other upgradeable biomechanical implants. Its storyline follows people’s struggle against major companies who have been overriding the power of government.

“With Gothic 3 – The Beginning and Devils & Demons we have proven our expertise in creating role-playing games for mobile platforms,” enunciated Philipp Nägelsbach, Game Designer at HandyGames. “With Cyberlords we are leaving the fantasy genre and enter a dark, violent future in which ordinary men and women are crushed under the boot heel of a corporate elite exerting Orwellian control over the oppressed masses of drudges and wage slaves in the post-industrial hell of the Asgard Arcology.”

Crafted with advanced touch screen controls, the game allows players to smoothly make their moves across their mobile phone screens. With four difficulty modes and numerous achievements, it has been touted to render an engaging gameplay. Additionally, the publisher also states that it extends a remarkable replay value.

Gamers can purchase Cyberlords – Arcology for their JavaME and Android handsets. It is up for grabs free-of-cost in the Android Market.
