It looks like photography enthusiasts are being given the opportunity to let loose and expose their talent to all and sundry. CyberLink has revealed the MediaStory slideshow creator app for Android devices and iPhones. As its name suggests, the app lets users create slideshows from photos clicked through their smartphones in three steps.
Users are offered a selection of six pre-designed templates with different themes as well as audio support. Suitable themes can be applied to make animated slideshows using the photos clicked through the phones.
“Smart phones today come with good quality image capturing cameras,” cited Alice Chang, CEO, CyberLink. “People can conveniently snapshot images of their daily life and CyberLink MediaStory gives them the convenience to turn their photos into spectacular stories presented in a stylish slideshow to share with their friends on Facebook.”
Users can also add subtitles to their creations and view it on smartphones or share then with others on Facebook. Once uploaded on a Facebook wall for everyone to see and other users can express their opinions about the slideshows.
The app allows users to share their creations on Showcase in order to expose their creations to a wider audience. Users may reap the benefits from CyberLink MediaStory which is also available as a Facebook app to create animated slideshows from images in their albums.
Cyberlink MediaStory is out in 9 different languages, namely, English Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. It is available for smartphones through the iTunes App Store and the Android Market for about $2.99.
CyberLink MediaStory is available for free as a Facebook app and offers users 3 pre-designed templates to touch up photos. Each template maybe purchased at approximately $0.99.
