The Cricket iPhone 4 and 4S US price and availability details may look quite enticing to Apple fans in the country. After all, laying hands on the Cupertino cookies on a pre-paid and no-contract scheme is not something many may like to miss.

According to the details, the 16GB iPhone will set potential users back by $499.99, while the 8GB iPhone 4 is priced at $399.99. Besides, both the devices are tied to a $55 no-contract plan which brings with it unlimited talk time and texts. The network provider is also offering up to 2.3GB web access with the plan.

Considering that Cricket is the only wireless carrier providing a prepaid and no-contract scheme at present, the phones have already garnered a lot of attention. So much so that CNET reports of some customers queuing up outside store fronts to lay hands on the phone. According to a Cricket representative, the iPhone 4 and 4S are already shipping via the corresponding retail outlets.

Advertised to be ‘the most amazing iPhone yet,’ the iPhone 4S packs in a 3.5-inch multi-touch display and an 8MP iSight snapper. In terms of connectivity, it offers 3G and Wi-Fi along with the GPS and GLONASS satellite networks. The iPhone 4 is equipped with a 5MP iSight snapper with 720p video recording capability. It is expected to offer talk time of approximately 7 hours on 3G and up to 14 hours on 2G.
