Comes With Music service/phone introduced by Nokia

UK,NokiaNokia fans in the UK can be on cloud nine. The Finnish mobile giant has chosen the United Kingdom to launch its innovative range of phones that will cater exclusively to the music needs of Nokia users. The pathbreaking service is called ‘Comes With Music’ and will enable music lovers to download up to 2.1 million music tracks. Nokia hopes the new range will be a hit at Christmas.

Simon Ainslie, Nokia’s UK Managing Director, commented, “This is a unique proposition. Nobody has launched an unlimited music service that allows you to keep your music with no catches.”

All users who buy a Nokia Come With Music pre-paid phone should be able to download 2.1 million music tracks. The figure is a quarter of the tracks available from Apple’s iPhone. You can transfer the music to your phone along with an option of keeping a check of the already downloaded music. The introduction of this service brings to light Nokia’s intention of overtaking Apple’s dominance in terms of the iPhone.

A radical way for people to discover and enjoy music, the Comes With Music service will give users a year of uninterrupted access to the complete Nokia Music store catalog. Additionally users can enjoy the downloaded music even after the end of the year.

At an expected price between £100 or £300, those who buy the phone will either have to put their existing SIM card into it or sign-up for a SIM-only deal. The service is expected to launch Oct 2008.
