Comcast rolls out Xfinity Mobile App for Android

Xfinity Mobile App This new offering captivates many since it renders seamless access to the internet, TV and home phone services directly on mobile devices. Well, Comcast has uncovered its Xfinity Mobile app for Android. Xfinity customers who own enticing Android-powered devices can access Comcast’s popular e-mail, voice and video service features as per their requirements.

Users can manage voicemail and forward home phone calls from their Xfinity Voice service and use the handy Xfinity mobile widget to review the most recent voicemail and e-mail messages. Besides, individuals can effortlessly sync their universal address book and, quickly view local TV listings, arrange by various categories and watch Video On Demand movie trailers.

“We’re excited to broaden the availability of our Xfinity Mobile app to Android devices, as we know there were many customers awaiting this release,” commented Cathy Avgiris, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Communications and Data Services, Comcast. “We won’t stop here. We’ll continue to extend access to our services outside the home with convenient apps that our customers can use anywhere, anytime and on as many different devices as possible.”

The company highlights that this new brand name will be extended to the iTunes store shortly. The Xfinity TV app is also anticipated to be available for Android devices soon. The app lends support to several devices running Android OS version 1.6 and above.

This new app can be downloaded for free from the Android Market.
