ChevronWP7 Labs Windows Phone Unlock

Microsoft is obviously keen to bring on board more developers for their mobile OS. The latest bit of news which should interest those who want to create apps for the platform comes from ChevronWP7 Labs. Developers can look forward to a new Windows Phone unlocking service which has received Microsoft’s stamp of approval.

Providing convenient access to Window Phone development was one of the principal objectives of the team. This service will be open to developers of varied skills and regions. Users are expected to pay a negligible fee through PayPal to avail of this service. This is one aspect that many do not seem to favor, going by the reactions to the post.

Back in 2010, the homebrew community was given the ability to unlock a WP7 device by using a USB cable and just few clicks in the absence of Marketplace developer account. But this service was available just temporarily. With the ChevronWP7 unlocking service, developers can side-load apps on the Windows Phone 7 interface without much effort.
