Japan’s Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications have chosen E Ink Vizplex Imaging Film based displays for their latest mobile phones. E Ink Corporation, the foremost in electronic paper display technologies have recently declared that the Japanese clamshells are the first to utilize E Ink’s electronic paper technology externally.
Low power consumption, a wide viewing angle, ultra thin profile, sunlight readability and its arduousness are the numerous reasons E Ink’s electrophoretic display was an ideal choice for Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications. Not adding any weight or thickness to the display, the trendy secondary displays give the handsets a longer battery life.
Attributed by a secondary display on the outer surface of the phone, the Hitachi W61H was the first phone to use the E Ink Vizplex display. With a summer launch through KDDI, Casio Model G’zOne will be the next phone to put into action the same technology.
