Classic Car Guide by Chubb’s Group of Insurance Companies is all set to join the list of apps entertaining users of BlackBerry devices. The guide app is bound to hold interest for classic car collectors or those who love to know more about them.
The app provides information about buying and selling of collector cars, their values, and even their insurance possibilities from its database of online markets and sales histories. The car guide app is driven by Keith Martin’s Sports Car Market’s database of up to 100,000 auction results.
“Since Chubb created the Classic Car Guide, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The app has been downloaded more than 13,000 times, and we expect more car enthusiasts to take advantage of this free one-of-a-kind app now that it is available for BlackBerry devices,” believed Jim Fiske, U.S. marketing manager for Chubb Personal Insurance.
By using the vehicle identification number (VIN) of a car or its make model and year, users can search for the collector car transaction data, approximate real-time market price and even insurance estimates. Along with such significant data, reference articles of worth 20 years plus from Sports Car Market Magazine on certain makes and models, photos of sold vehicles is also available. Other than this, users can also look for such vehicles put up for sale on eBay and Craigslist.
The Chubb’s Classic Car Guide app for BlackBerry handsets can be downloaded from BlackBerry App World. It was released earlier this year for the iPhone and Android smartphones.
