In recent times, we’ve seen quite a good number of phones get a makeover in terms of the color their drenched in. 3 adds to this terrain by giving the BlackBerry Bold 9700 a revamp in white. With no tweaking on the feature list, it just appears to be a paint job for this BlackBerry device.

The handset spans through a number of menus and applications like Facebook, Twitter and BlackBerry Email effortlessly courtesy its touch-sensitive track pad. The navigation mechanism is said to be based on a laptop touchpad design and offers users quick control of all the smartphone’s functions.

Sylvia Chind Head of Branded Devices, 3UK commented, “On our high speed 3G network, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 gives our customers a really great internet experience. A little colour variety doesn’t go astray, so we’re ranging the Bold 9700 in white ahead of summer.”

Boasting of around 256MB flash memory and six hours of talk time and up to 17 days on standby, the phone also delivers up to 38 hours of music playback. It is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera and supports GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA connections. Sporting a 2.5” high resolution color screen, there’s also a Qwerty keyboard onboard.

Existing 3 customers should be able to grab the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in white from this week onwards while the phone will reach 3 stores in mid May 2010. The phone will put users down by £30 a month with unlimited internet, texts, 500 anytime any network minutes and a BlackBerry Internet and Email add on.
