After reading this enticing piece of news Twitter fans will surely know when to Tweet to have the most number of Tweets. Betaworks brings a few tit-bits from the ‘Department of Insights That Make Sense, But Are Cool to See Play Out in the Real World’ about bit.ly clicks accessed through mobile phones. The two month click history of a SocialFlow consumer having a twitter following of 500,000 has been used for this report.

The company has classified the clicks into categories, those which are accessed through handsets and the rest coming from desktop computers or other devices. Hence, they could analyze the variations in mobile browsing in a day as compared to the total browsing. Some of their key findings are that on Saturday’s at 8pm almost 41 percent clicks come from mobile phones. Usually people check out Twitter more on weekends as compared to weekdays.

Friday nights are almost like weekend nights, whereas Sunday nights act mundane like week nights. The ‘Twitterati’ seems more likely to click during the rush hour or at night rather than in the middle of the day or in the wee hours of the morning. Its not as if that these followers read only those conventional 140 character messages, many a time they access long-form content which comes in links through their phones.

Twitter aficionados now must keep in mind that if they want to gain on the clicks then the most apt time to message would be during the peak hours when the commuters are getting bored while traveling.
