AT&T strengthens 3G Mobile Broadband Wireless network

AT&T has deployed 850MHz spectrum for 3G across major portions of metro New York, Long Island and New Jersey.Users are now expected to experience better network connectivity, enhanced performance along with an improved in-building wireless coverage.

The enhancement in network connectivity can ensure to bring better consumer satisfaction and deliver highly-improved coverage performance. The advancement is expected to enable consumers to quickly access the content that derives high significance to them.

“AT&T’s ongoing investment to build broadband networks helps to create jobs, fuel economic growth and enable our customers to quickly access the content that matters most to them,” explained Jay Summerson, vice president New York, AT&T external affairs. “Our customers have embraced smartphones and upgrades like the additional 3G spectrum deployment allow them to enjoy the benefits of these devices and mobile broadband for years to come.

It is believed that the deployment of 850MHz ensures to deliver high-quality, which usually results in improved in-building coverage.

“Where we deployed the additional 850 MHz spectrum, we saw an immediate increase in wireless data activity across the AT&T 3G network in those areas,” expressed Tom DeVito, vice president and general manager for AT&T in New York and New Jersey. “The additional spectrum helps to enhance the 3G network so that our customers have the best experience when they make a call, check an e-mail or surf the Internet on their AT&T device.”

This deployment is expected to enhance 3G mobile broadband wireless network’s performance and speed as well. The company also proclaimed its future objectives of upgrading 3G network globally with HSPA 7.2 technology for offering speedy mobile broadband performance.

Based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) technologies including GSM and UMTS, AT&T ‘s 3G broadband offers 3G data roaming in more than 100 nations and voice calling facility in more than 215 countries.

The strengthening of 3G wireless network is now expected to bring optimum satisfaction to worldwide consumers and deliver faster network speeds at the same time.
