AT&T releases Samsung Jack mobile phone

AT&T Samsung Jack Phone AT&T and Samsung Mobile announced a new phone called the ‘Samsung Jack’. This latest handset is loaded with simple yet effective features. The sleek and compact Jack device makes messaging easy and accurate including SMS, instant messaging and access to multiple e-mail accounts with an optimized and user friendly keyboard. This device also has features like over-the-air synchronization of contacts, calendars and task lists.

Enterprise and small business users can use Microsoft Direct Push while most major personal email accounts can be accessed through AT&T Express Mail. It has 256 MB RAM, a 3.2 mega pixel camera with Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) to connect with home or office networks and AT&T Navigator. AT & T Navigator Global edition can be used with the built in GPS for various purposes.

Windows Mobile 6.1 with its innovative technology provides hassle free web browsing through Internet Explorer Mobile and Office Mobile improves working on the basic softwares and increases productivity. It will make work trouble-free for enterprise and small business customers to stay connected with synchronization of schedules and contacts with Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile. Features on the Jack include threaded SMS messaging and Voice Command by additional Windows Mobile 6.1.

While away from office, Mobile Device Manager provides users with security enhanced and software distribution capabilities and access to the company data. The Jack also extends its support to the Microsoft System Centre Mobile Device Manager 2008. It is an enterprise grade mobile solution for managing and protecting Windows Mobile 6.1 phones. The Samsung Jack will be up gradable to Windows Mobile 6.5.

AT&T Mobile Music has a simple way in to a robust collection of music content by giving an engaging experience, including access to XM Radio Mobile and more. Special care for entertainment is taken by CV (Cellular Video) from AT&T. It gives viewers access to thousands of video clips, news, sports, weather, entertainment and more using streaming video. The Jack also consists of features such as stereo Bluetooth technology, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile and microSD memory card slot for external storage of up to 16GB of data.

Customers can use the Jack to make or receive a phone call in more than 215 countries and perform a range of other functions in more than 170 countries. ‘Samsung Jack’ will be available at AT&T locations from May 19 onwards. It’s priced at $99.99 after mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.
