AT&T 3G S phoneAT&T has announced the availability of iPhone 3G S nationwide in its more than 2,200 retail locations. Additionally, the company will also deliver handsets to customers who ordered through the internet earlier. The handset will be acquirable through all Apple retail stores in the U.S.

The phone is loaded with numerous innovative features such as improved speed and productivity. It boasts of a long battery life and a 3 megapixel supreme quality camera with autofocus. The device also has voice recording and hands free voice control. It operates on the 3.0 operating system. The company will offer customers an access to nearly 20,000 U.S. Wi-Fi Hot Spots. These automatic Hot Spots will offer users to effortlessly change from the company’s 3G network to the company’s seamless Wi-Fi hotspot. Users will have to write down any necessary information while listening to voice mail messages before purchasing iPhone 3G S. This is required because existing voice messages will be lost while changing devices.

For customers who are new, the company will offer only one device to one person. Existing customers can get one per eligible telephone number. Customers will get one phone on one house. Those who obtain the device from a friend or family member can activate it by visiting the company’s store. They can request for a SIM card from the company and activate it directly through iTunes.

There will be a requirement of a bill from the existing service provider for customers who wish to port or retain phone number from another wireless carrier. They will have to give their account information with account number, name of the account holder as its present on record with the existing provider. Other requirements are account holder’s Social Security Number or Tax ID, billing address, the applicable PIN or password.

Customers who have ordered online or through the store can collect their phones with their receipts from the same store. They should first confirm the actual date of arrival as some preorders will be offered after June 19, 2009. Earlier customers will be given preferential treatment by stores. The same is valid for customers who preordered through the internet and will receive the phone at home or office directly.

There are options provided to customers to choose from several monthly plans that start as low as $69.99 per month for voice and unlimited data for e-mail and Web browsing. Nationwide long distance and roaming, Visual Voicemail, Rollover and unlimited Mobile to Mobile calling are inclusive in all phone plans. For families who share minutes the company offers extra value through FamilyTalk. The company offers BusinessTalk a shared minute plan specifically for small businesses. Organizations can share up to 20,000 minutes every month between as many as 40 employees. Moreover, corporate customers and employees of various businesses are suitable for discounted service rates.

The iPhone 3G S will be available to new customers and retained ones for 16GB at $199 and 32GB at $299. The company customers suitable for a full upgrade in July, August or September, 2009 can also avail these prices. For existing customers who have not updated their existing agreement and want an early upgrade to their new phone, the prices are different. The prices are $399 for 16GB and $499 for 32GB iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S. These prices require a commitment of two-years of service and approved voice and data plan. Customers can buy these phones even without a two-year contract commitment.
