AT&T Free WiFi Hotspot Access Offer Confuses iPhone 3G Owners Again

wi fi hotspot, at&t, iphone The iPhone may be the hottest topic this season, but iPhone users have been tricked again by the on and off saga of free AT&T WiFi Hotspot access.

AT&T had offered free Wi Fi at 17,000 nationwide AT&T hotspots, a few months ago; however the page went offline without a warning, disrupting the services.

The website earlier stated, “AT&T knows Wi-Fi is hot, and free Wi-Fi even hotter, which is why we are proud to offer iPhone customers free access to the nation’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot network with more than 17,000 hotspots, including Starbucks. Now users can relax and access music, e-mail and web browsing services with their favorite blend in hand from the comfort of their favorite location. ”

Repeating their folly, AT&T has pulled a fast one on iPhone 3G users again. The leading network carrier has abruptly deactivated a link that had the particulars of a free WiFi Hotspot offer posted. AT&T had erroneously posted the above on their website and is now claiming that it’s a distinct employee-error.

As of now there is confusion on whether the free Wi Fi Hotspot offer by AT&T is available or not and the carrier really needs to pull up its socks with this unclear picture of the Wi FI access.
