AT&T has been preparing to welcome its very first Amazon-made Kindle Fire HD 8.9 LTE and has set a release date together with an official price. The slate which made its way into the market back in November will be entering the carrier’s 4G realm on April 5.
The device currently ships in two variants which have been bifurcated on the basis of their onboard memory, 32GB and 64GB. But the network operator has decided to permit only the former model into its abode. Speaking of the onboard storage capacity, roughly 27GB out of the overall space has been made available for users to hoard content.
The tablet cannot exactly be called a light-weight device at 567 grams, but in its defense, it does stretch up to dimensions of 240mm x 164mm x 8.8mm so as to accommodate an 8.9-inch screen.
