Asus has started coming up with newer smart phones. Now Asus along with IDLDPL has come out with a new PDA mobile phone for the Indian markets known as P527. This PDA is meant for the business class and also contains all the multimedia features.
Asus offers Travelog which enables users to record travel routes and export data to Google Earth, Location Courier serves as a S.O.S. device to send a user’s GPS position to five preset phone numbers. In case of emergency, SMS messages will then be delivered to the preset receivers with a touch of a button.
Mr. Altaf Ansari, Product Manager, PDA Business, ASUS India, said, “Like many other Windows Mobile PDA-phones, the P527 comes with quite a few wireless connectivity features. It has all the other features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A bonus is the inclusion of an FM tuner.”
Ansari further added, “The ASUS P527 PDA brought home the prestige of CES Innovation Design and Engineering award for 2008. This latest cellular innovation from ASUS is designed to provide users with simple access to the latest GPS technology.”
The user of the Asus PDA P527 can record and share travelling pictures, routes Points of Interests (POIs) and memo with the handy built-in Travelog feature. The P527 supports Google Earth satellite maps format which allows users to create a diary while travelling.
GPS navigation with GPS Catcher enables users to find their location quickly across the globe allowing them to rapidly navigate to their next destination with ease. The Location Courier feature of the P527 will also help prevent users from ever getting lost by accurately and periodically reporting their position to their pre-defined friends’ contacts.
PDA P527 comes with Windows Mobile 6 Professional Operating System and with complete office functions and synchronises Outlook emails, edits Word and Excel documents and views PowerPoint slides. The new feature in the handset allows the user to receive the latest news reports and website information through RSS settings.
Asus P527 has a built-in FM Radio Receiver. It also has a 2.0 mega-pixel camera to capture precious moments with auto focus. It also has Windows Media Player,; while the built-in Windows Live functions enables user to access Hotmail, MSN, Spaces and Search allowing them to keep in touch with their online friends.
The P527 PDA is a slim candy bar with silver-grey aluminium cover. It has 8 dedicated hotkeys which allows the user to access to main functions.
