There are rumors that Apple is planning to launch its first clamshell iPhone, reports Unwired View on the basis of some patents filed by the Cupertino-based company. The phone is expected to be a ‘Dual sided trackpad’. When made on Photoshop, the flip-version of the iPhone seems to have quite a futuristic look.
This clamshell phone apparently has a transparent trackpad attached with a hinge which opens up to a 160 degree angle and it can be used on both the sides of the trackpad, i.e. while the trackpad is closed, it can be used as a normal touch-screen phone and when the trackpad is opened, it has dialer, scrolling and gesture options.
As per the pictures, the iPhone clamshell has retained the sleek and classic look. For those who wished the iPhone to be a flip phone, the iPhone clamshell is here to serve the purpose of efficiency with a prestigious look to it.
